Tantrum

Cassidy had her first full blown tantrum. She was rummaging around the kitchen cabinets (as usual) and something fell. She slams the door, turns around and throws herself face down on the floor crying and kicking her legs.  I stood over her, a little bit in shock I'll admit. Bill walks over at this exact moment and says "Did she fall or is she..." I burst out laughing and let him know that yes our sweet little girl was having a tantrum.  It was nap time!  Otherwise our weekend was pretty nice.

A birthday party - not my girl's though

My niece Jade's birthday is the same week as Cassidy's. She is one year older so yesterday we made the trek down to Connecticut for her 2nd birthday party. It was a nice day and a small party. The Elmo cake was adorable and a big hit!

And thank goodness my husband is a stain removing dynamo because he got that red frosting out of my new t-shirt and Cassidy's new pants :)

Digital Scrapbooking

I love taking photos. but even more, I love photoshop elements & digital scrapbooking. I made a banner for my girls birthday party :) It's fun making it and very pretty!

My girl's first birthday

I love that daycare made her a paper crown and she wore it all day!

Walking

Cassidy is walking. I don't mean the random step or two she's been doing for at least a month, I mean WALKING! Across rooms!
and to be honest, I missed it because I was grumpy today and left in a huff to go water my moms plants.  I guess that's what I get for being grumpy :(
still though, she's walking!  and two whole days before her first birthday!

Working from home

I am grateful for having the work flexibility to work from home when my mom, who normally watches Cassidy a few days a week, is on vacation. Working from home is hard though. Luckily my husband also worked from home today so we can tag team Cassidy however I had many conference calls so he is bearing an unfair burden.
so I guess I'm also grateful to have an awesome husband!

Grumpy

I'm grumpy today. It's hard to find anything good to say about the day. I worked, I picked up Cassidy who was also grumpy and very tired. I guess it's just a Monday.
Oh! There is a good thing about today - one day closer to the weekend! WooHoo!
